SAKAEM allows up to 100 lbs of personal items in the trunk or below the window line. Keep items secured and do not place them above that line. Personal items are not allowed on Hawaii ocean shipments. Keep valuables and important documents with you.
Can you ship a non-running car?
Yes. SAKAEM can ship a non-running vehicle if it rolls, brakes and steers, and you provide a key. Tell us its condition when you request a quote so the carrier can plan for loading. If it cannot meet those conditions, confirm available options before booking.
How do I pay for car shipping?
Pay by card, or pay the carrier by cash or certified check; Zelle and Venmo are also accepted. Confirm your chosen payment method before pickup so you know what to have ready at handoff. Keep that method available on shipping day.
Do I need to be present at pickup and delivery?
A designated adult must be at both pickup and delivery to inspect the car and sign the Bill of Lading. If you cannot attend, choose an adult you trust in advance and make sure they can access the keys and review the vehicle with the driver. This helps keep each handoff clear.
