Preparing your vehicle for transit from Texas to Florida takes just a few simple steps. Start by removing personal items and accessories from inside and outside your car. This includes toll passes, GPS devices, roof racks, spoilers, and anything else that could shift or get damaged during the 1,200-mile journey.
Clean your vehicle before pickup. A clean car makes it easier for the carrier to spot any existing damage and helps protect your paint during transport.
Check your fuel level and aim for a quarter tank or less. This reduces weight and makes the vehicle safer to transport. Make sure your battery is charged so the carrier can move your car if needed.
Provide a working key to the carrier. They'll need it to load and unload your vehicle. If you have a spare, that's even better.
Document any existing damage with photos before pickup. Take pictures of dents, scratches, or other issues so you have proof of their condition before transit. This protects you if any questions arise at delivery.
Check your tire pressure and brakes to make sure your vehicle is in safe condition for transport. Carriers won't accept vehicles that aren't roadworthy.
