Preparing your vehicle properly is key to a smooth shipping experience from California to Florida. Here's what you need to do:
Remove personal items and accessories. Take out anything loose inside the car—valuables, toll passes, GPS devices, and phone chargers. Remove exterior items like roof racks, spoilers, and custom trim that could get damaged or lost in transit.
Document your vehicle's condition. Take photos of your car from multiple angles and note any existing dents, scratches, or damage. This protects you during the shipping process.
Check fluid levels and tire pressure. Make sure your gas tank is no more than a quarter full to reduce weight. Check that your battery, coolant, and other fluids are at proper levels.
Ensure the vehicle runs. Your car should be in working condition and able to be driven onto the carrier. If it's not drivable, let us know upfront so we can arrange special handling.
Have keys ready. Provide at least one working key to the driver. Keep a spare in case of emergencies.
Clear the interior. Remove personal belongings, floor mats, and any items in the trunk. The carrier needs clear access to your vehicle.
