Preparing your vehicle for transit from Georgia to Texas is straightforward and takes just a few steps.
Remove personal items and accessories. Take out anything loose inside your car—toll passes, phone chargers, air fresheners, and valuables. Remove any roof racks, spoilers, antennas, or other exterior add-ons that could get damaged or fall off during transport.
Clean your vehicle. Wash the inside and outside. This helps the carrier inspect for existing damage and makes it easier to spot any new issues when your car arrives.
Check fluid levels and tire pressure. Make sure your gas tank is about a quarter full, your oil is topped off, and your tires are properly inflated. These small steps prevent problems during transport.
Disable alarms and secure loose parts. If your car has an alarm system, disable it so it doesn't go off during loading or transit. Tighten anything that might rattle.
Have keys ready. Provide the carrier with working keys so they can move your vehicle as needed.
Document your car's condition. Take photos of your vehicle from multiple angles before pickup. This creates a record of its condition before shipping.
