• Remove personal items, valuables, toll passes, and loose or fragile items from the cabin, trunk, and exterior.
• Remove or secure accessories that could be damaged, such as bike racks, luggage racks, antennas, and spoilers.
• Provide the carrier with the keys needed to move the vehicle. Disable any alarm system.
• Tell the carrier in advance if the vehicle does not run, has low ground clearance, is oversized, or has known leaks or mechanical problems.
• At pickup, review the vehicle condition report carefully. At delivery, inspect the vehicle before you accept it and report any new damage on the delivery paperwork.

Yes. Sakaem Logistics requires every carrier transporting vehicles from California to North Carolina to carry at least $1 million in liability insurance and $100,000 in cargo insurance. Before your vehicle ships, we verify that the carrier’s policy is active and in good standing for the shipment.

Our quotes are all-inclusive, so you do not pay extra for this required coverage. Coverage is subject to the carrier’s policy terms and limits. It applies to the vehicle while it is in the carrier’s care, not to personal items left inside the car. Before pickup, remove personal belongings and note any existing damage on the bill of lading.
